I had to dig this one up. If you've ever watched Friends and Family Ties, you'll notice the beautiful actress Courtney Cox has the most amazing complexion and shiniest hair! Her piercing blue eyes with her dark strands go so well together.
1. Healthy, glowing skin is an important part of her look, so before applying any makeup be sure to use a hydrating moisturizer and eye cream. Apply a stick foundationto the skin by dotting lightly on the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin, and blend with your fingertips for a sheer, natural finish.
To conceal under the eyes, use a stick foundation one shade lighter than your all-over color. Set the look by applying a little loose powder only under the eyes and down the center of the face.
2. To define the brow, use a brow brush to apply a warm brown shade to the eyebrow. Focus the color on areas where the brow is sparse.
3. Using a shading brush, apply matte white shadow all over the eyelid. Use a shadow brush to apply a silvery shimmer to the lid, starting at the lash line and working into the crease. As a final touch, apply a soft gray shadow very lightly to the crease only and blend well.
4. To line the eyes, use a damp eyeliner brush and apply a charcoal shadow to both the top and bottom lashes. You want the eye to be completely lined from corner to corner. Apply thickening mascara to both the top and bottom lashes.
5. Warm the cheeks using a gel stick blush. Smile to find the apples of your cheeks. Apply color to this area, then use your fingertips to blend back and down over the cheekbones.
6. Apply a cream lipgloss in a warm maple color using a lip brush. Finish by lightly outlining your natural contour with a liner in a similar color to define and enhance the mouth.
7. To give your cheeks a modern high shine, warm a small amount of moisture balm between your fingers and gently tap along the cheekbones. The look is hydrated and glowing, not greasy.
To get the shiny tresses, all you need is a blow-dryer, flat iron, and a dollop of shine pomade! Also, the gleam in Courteney's hair is due to long layers and the moisturizing formulas of her hair-care products. Deep-conditioning once a month is a must. Cox's favorite: Kerastase Nutritive Nutradefense ($65), a mask rich in strengthening proteins. Before blow-drying, part your hair in half, apply a golf-ball-size amount of conditioning mousse to each side, and comb through. Try Kerastase Mousse Nutri-Sculpt. Next, use a paddle brush to blow-dry; increase shine by aiming the airflow downward from roots to ends. Finish with Logics Shine Illuminating serum ($17; logicshair.com) to smooth flyaways.
